15 December 2007 ~ Suresh & Subashini's Engagement

Well, my good friend Suba just got engaged! Its been almost a year since she told me about this and have asked me to reserve my calender for this event. I must say, I'm glad I did. It was a very memorable engagement and really would like to thank Suba and Suresh for having the trust in me to cover their very special occasion. Well, enough of me typing, here are some snippets from their engagement. Now I can't wait for her wedding coming January. Well done Suba & Suresh!

Before her makeover.... Look at her happy face

Intricate henna designs

Suba's uncle home in Kepong, the venue for the engagement

Really walk with style, the groom and his entourage arriving ....

Her mom, couldn't be happier, and the ceremony begins..

I'm told once the ring is exchanged, they are engaged! Whoopee...

And of course, a closeup of their engagement rings, which I'm told was bought a long long time ago... guess they planned this all along...

18 November 2007 ~ Swee Beng & Suk Lai

Congratulations to Swee Beng and Suk Lai! What a wonderful couple. We met them ike just 2 weeks ago and happen to have this weekend free and thus a new friendship was born. It was another interesting wedding with the grooms hometown in Kuala Kurau and the bride was in Penang. Thus the day started early in the morning, about 6:30am and ended about 10.30pm. The bride and groom was so full of energy. We even had a chance to grab some quick snap shots at a nearby padi field in Kuala Kurau. All the best to this lovely couple. Here are some quick highlights deom photos that were prepared for their express slideshow which was shown during their dinner.

This is the first order of the day, getting her makeup and hairdoNo bride is complete without an exquisite pair of shoes

The groom arriving to pickup the bride, and trying to get into the apartment! He got a lovely kiss from his new nephew :)

After playing some games, he has done it. Here the parents are sending off their daughter, with the dad holding the red umbrella.

At the ancestral temple in Kuala Kurau Jetty. Here they make their prayers for their marriage.

No chinese wedding will be complete without a tea ceremony.
Her wedding ring. A gift from the grooms mom.

Now just some candids of the bride. Just lovely.

And finally, some snaps we did at the padi field. We were in a rush to get back to Penang, so it was a quick 10 minutes. Hope you both had fun.
